MY VERDICT

The 765 CFM EGO POWER+ is not the cheapest battery powered leaf blower in the market, and its definitely not the dearest.

Its mid range price point is what has earned the 765 EGO POWER + my top spot. It boasts being the world’s most powerful blower with air speeds of up to 200 MPH at a very affordable price point.

The Ego power plus has a Speed Control Dial that allows you to adjust the air speed from 260cfm right up to Active Turbo mode of 764cfm for the ultimate control. This was really helpful being able to dial down the power when blowing leaves away from any stone or mulched garden beds, without blowing all the mulch away as well.

The Active Turbo Mode when flat strap was really handy when blowing away wet leaves or heavy debris like sticks etc. The EGO 56V 5.0Ah ARC Lithium™ battery gives an average run time of 90 minutes when fully charged. The motor is the new style brushless motor and was not too noisy at all.

MY VERDICT

Based on around the same price point as the EGO 765 unit, The RYOBI 40V HP Brushless Cordless Jet Fan Blower comes a very close second. It is an incredibly powerful outdoor leaf blower that can tackle the toughest jobs.

It delivers an impressive 730 CFM of blowing power to easily blow through the toughest cleanups. 

The RYOBI 40V HP is one of the quieter models that I have seen at only 57 db, enabling use at any time of the day without the risk of annoying your neighbors.

This particular package comes with two 4.0 ah batteries and charger to suit. Like most other models the Ryobi 40V has a variable speed air control and turbo feature.

For convenience, this blower features cruise control, allowing you to blow through yard cleanup without having to hold down the trigger.

The Worx WG584 40V Power Share Turbine Cordless Leaf Blower with Brushless Motor is not the cheapest battery powered leaf blower in the market, in fact its up there in cost,  but you certainly get what you pay for with this one.. 

Worx has packed 40 volts of power into a model with a brushless motor that weighs just over seven pounds fully loaded. It uses dual 20 volt batteries to enable the 40 volt rating. This enables you to also use these same batteries for another Worx tool that only requires a 20 volt battery.

A very handy option if your are considering purchasing any of the other Worx availablr battery powered tools.

MY VERDICT

The Ryobi OBL1820S ONE+ Cordless Blower is an entry level leaf blower that is in the price range that is affordable if your looking for a blower to keep smaller areas clean of leaves and dust such as, pergolas areas, driveways and lawns.

Dont be fooled with the size, this model still comes with enough punch to blow away a lot of the competitors.

The Ryobi OBL1820S ONE hax a 5.0 amp hour / 18 volt battery delivering 450 cubic meters per feet of air volume at 150 MPH.

It is a very compact model and is not as large as some of the more expensive models. It weights in at only 1.6kg which can be easily waved around all day long.

Another feature with this 18 volt Ryobi tool is that the battery will also fit the entire range of Ryobi 18 volt garden tools making it a very versatile option.

MY VERDICT

I thought that I would also add the Makita XBU03SM1 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Blower Kit. It is also up there in cost, but Makita has got such a good reputation of very good and reliable tools within the building industry, it would be remiss of me not to add it.

It weighs in at just under 3 kg and has power to match with a 4.0 AH 18 volt battery delivering 459 cubic feet per minute of air flow at 116 MPH.

The Makita XBU03SM1 18V LXT comes with a brushless motor, as with all the better ones nowadays, it is balanced well, and has a variable control trigger with a cruise control lever. It also runs on the standard range of Makita 18 volt batteries which means that you can use the same battery on all of the range of Makita 18 volt tools.

If you’re looking for a brand that is well recognized, trusted and has great back up service, then you can’t go past the Makita XBU03SM1 18V LXT.
